“Fall” ist eine hängende Installation, ein Schlafsack in den der
Betrachter, Kopf voran, von unten hineinkriecht. Im oberen Teil
des Schlafsacks, daher am eigentlichen Fußende, befindet sich ein
Minimonitor, auf dem ein Video zu sehen ist. Das Video zeigt
eine Schleife, einen Loop von einer Abfahrt durch eine lange
Schwimmbadröhrenrutsche. Der schnelle “Fall” in der Rutsche, das
Tempo des Videos und die Begrenzung des Videos auf die unendliche
Röhre, wird unterstützt durch den schlauch- und tunnelartigen
Charakter des Schlafsacks.
Fall is a participatory installation entailing the viewer to become a sculptural form, crawling into a sleeping bag where a video of a ride through a tube slide is shown on a monitor at the top of the sleeping bag. The speed upside down descent, the continuous loop of the fast video image and the spatialisation of the video onto the never-ending tube, is supported by the tunnel-like form of the sleeping bag.
