Die Arbeit 'Sans Titre (La Filature)' bezieht sich auf eine bekannte Arbeit der Künstlerin Sophie Calle aus dem Jahr 1981 mit dem Titel 'La Filature'. In 'La Filature' beauftragt Sophie Calle ihre Mutter wiederum einen Privatdetektiv zu engagieren, sie einen Tag lang zu beschatten und Fotos und Notizen zur Dokumentation dieser Beschattung zu machen. In der Arbeit 'Sans Titre (La Filature)' stelle ich die Beschattungsfotos aus Calles Arbeit an den entsprechenden Orten in Paris nach. Die Rolle des Detektivs wird hierbei ausgelassen, die Bilder sind reine Inszenierungen, keine Dokumentationen. Notizen/Texte fehlen in dieser Inszenierung. Die Bilder stehen nicht mehr im Auftrag ihrer ursprünglichen Narration, sondern, herausgelöst aus ihrem Kontext, für sich selbst als reiner Verweis.
The work 'Sans Titre (La Filature)' is referring to a known work of artist Sophie Calle from the year 1981 titled 'La Filature'. In 'La Filature' Calle is instructing her mother to hire a private detective to follow her for one day and make notes and photographies as a documentation of this observation. In 'Sans Titre (La Filature)' I am re-staging the observation fotos from Calles work at the equivalent places in Paris. The role of the detective is left out here, notes and texts are missing in the work. The photographs are not serving their original narration anymore, but are functioning -dissolved from their context- as a mere reference, representations, not documentations.
